Not Much to Report This Month
I looked at the numbers behind this site for the first time in a while this month, mostly out of curiosity rather than any plan to act on them. They were modest, which is exactly what I expected from a small room like this one, and I found I wasn't especially bothered either way. That surprised me a little, given how much time goes into the place.
It helped to remember why I built this in the first place, which was never really about the numbers. I wanted somewhere with a shelf of small games and a consistent, calm feel to it, the sort of place I'd actually want to sit down in myself after a long day. Judged against that, the room does what I meant it to do, regardless of how many people happen to wander through it in a given month.
That's not to say growth wouldn't be welcome — it would, and I'd be lying if I said otherwise. But chasing it by bolting on things that don't fit the room, louder colors or games that don't suit the mood, would cost more than it's worth. I'd rather keep the lounge feeling like itself and let whoever finds it find it in their own time.
So there's little to report this month beyond that small piece of perspective. The armchair's still here, the lamp's still on, and the games are still sitting on the shelf waiting for whoever fancies an evening in.
